All the negativity towards Radio Shack and it's impending demise is a little unsettling. Radio Shack was a wonderland of possibilities that crossed economic lines. To think any different is ill informed and snobbish at best.
Search the image database in your mind and tell me where (eg what kinds of neighborhoods) do you see Radio Shack? Exactly.
Your digital accessories you can't live without, most people in the world live without 24 hours a day. Most people in the world don't have unfettered access to the holistic and user friendly forms of technology that we essentially take for granted nowadays. But they should have access to the wires and switches and solder they are made of.
Each and every example of this digital crap that we let run our lives and pay way to much for, started as a prototype. A non-user-friendly mess of affordable wires and switches that some dreamer assembled into something undeniably useful.
Not sure what replaces Radio Shack but it needs replacing.
