The Photographers Journal

I am fascinated by fabrics and faux fur in particular. Awesome when it's done well. An insanely good copy. The most high res of all the textiles. Haptics beaming out in all dimensions. We are at the Depot. A large cinder block and fluorescent affair that lives entirely up to it's name.

A pixel and a fiber. Two of the same thing.

Looking with our eyes and our fingers we stroll through aisle after aisle of analog goodness. Digital fabric will be amazing, yes, but will it be better than this? Your body will be encased in a screen. The effects will be stunning. But fake Leopard skin is pretty good too! It's the fibers.

Homestyle Italian joint strangely cold. We leave our coats and sweaters on. They took down all the pictures to paint the walls. But they haven't put them back. Been 2 months. She says they are going back up soon. Walls should never be bare. I miss the family portraits. I miss the pictures of Venice taken by the people in the family portraits. These are the homestyle Italian joint rules. If it goes faux marble and glass I'm out.
