Fog is the new rain.
Got off at Rose Center with a plan, as always. Ran up to the bridge but I was too late, in photo time of course. The second bird syndrome, not late, but not early enough. Anyway the fog was a bit flat at that point, but the ship was still docked. Big grain tanker. It's super neat when the silos are open and grains are flowing into the tanker, clouding the air with dust. But not today!
The other side of the river is somewhat interesting as well as the bridge itself. Train station is neat, especially in spring, it has a great Lilly/Camilla tree thing. But I decide to get on the bus instead. Very dull day all around. Crazy smoking guy tells me about the old Post Office we are in front of. Right next to the tracks of course. Tells me to go the old Meijer and Frank building, supposedly it has swastikas or something on it. Ho hum. Crazy guy, smoke smelled awful, fog smelled kinda foul too. Getting on the bus was somewhat of a relief.
Went to see 'The Imitation Game' with pops. Good. Real good. Sad. Real sad. Big tears at the end. Lot of neon in the theatre, so 80's, also technically a mall theatre, again so 80's. Each entrance (there are 10 methinks) has a different art deco column of glowing light reaching up 30 - 40 feet in the air. Unique. Poor neon, death by LED. Real pretty to document though. Fits in with the fog, yes my friends neon is simply fog burning in a glass tube.
