Are you experienced?

Blah blah blah. Do you get the sense that this is what the client hears when you talk? Your'e not alone. Also 'blah, blah, blah' is unfortunately what you are probably actually saying anyway. It's not them, it's you my friend.

Simple questions demand simple answers. You gave me a dissertation on the placement of a link on a webpage. After that first sentence, I am only going to hear 'blah, blah, blah'.

Questions start with capitol letters, then end with question marks. Answers start with capitol letters, then end with periods.

Tough this. Over simplifying can get you in a lot of trouble, make sure the question isn't more complicated than it appears. If so, the question needs to be reframed. Sometimes the answer is simply more questions. If not then I say go with your gut, then test.

The design of our digital experiences is getting so calculated now. It's creepy, makes me want to run from most of it. Used to be I found analytics creepy, as it was devoid of emotion, not so much anymore. I welcome it at this point. Experience, for me, is entirely emotional. Lead with what feels right and avoid reading, or writing, or thinking about it too much.

Don't design for other designers, design for everyone else.

See I trust in you, Experience designer, and not because you read a bunch of blog posts and have unlimited access to a color printer. I trust in you because you are human, and so is the audience we build all this crap for anyway.
