The Photographers Journal

Funny feeling now when I leave for work without my camera. Disbelief. Not a bad exercise though. Phil Jackson was famous for holding basketball practice with no ball. If you can play basketball without a ball you can take pictures without a camera.

Looking is not seeing. Nearly all of us are blessed with sight. But your job is to look again. Your job is to see, and then and only then, press a little metal button.

There are things one should understand. First and foremost is that your equipment is meaningless. All cameras are equal. If you are beginner you need to be spending 0% of your time thinking about your equipment and 100% of your time trying to understand the world around you as viewed through a lens.

If you are a pro, try to be a beginner again.
